which position for pups

I recently got a ****** (paid 20 bucks) bass, by ****** I mean missing pickguard, shotty wiring and tons of scratches and dents and whatnot.

I repainted this bad boy and got the original pups working (jazz pickups), but I also purchased a humbucker pup.

I'm debating on whether the humbucker should go at the bridge or neck. same with the jazz pickup.

What sounds would I get if the humbucker was at the neck, or at the bridge?

and what sounds would I get with the jazz pup at the neck or bridge?
