Is it possible to do this? Stacked Pots AND C-Switch on Jazzbass

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm planning on modding the electronics in my Squier VM Fretless.

I want to make a Control-Plate with two stacked Pots, AND a C-Switch. Is it possible to do that with just two stacked potis, or do i need an extra switch on the control plate? Does anyone have schematics for it?

On a related note: Are there any active EQ's that only have a semi-para mid-EQ but no treble/bass? Is it easy to build one yourself, or does it take a lot of knowledge?

What is a C-switch?

Not up on the onboard parametric stuff but John East could answer your question and probably fulfill your need. Seems the Nathan East NE-1 or a verson of it was installed in some Yamaha basses. Never thought about it but a variable mid would seem to qualify as a semi-parametric and in recall is a seperate component for EMG.

You could use a MEC 89552 stacked volume/blend pot which also has a DPDT push-pull switch:

...and an EMG-VMC for the semi-parametric mid control:
