I simply need to know if its worth swapping out the pickups in this bass, and if it is what pickups i should look at getting.

At the moment i find that the neck pickup is okay but the bridge pickup seriously lacks volume and has next to no growl without significant EQ changes.

input much appreciated!

FWIW:

Given the same pup, the bridge is inherently lower output by virtue of it's location. Also eq is typically a major factor in getting growl in my experience.

My standard shpiele is you'll know what a pup swap will sound like once you've done it. At any rate, you're limited to whatever pup will transplant into that routing which should narrow the field considerably.

You can go to harmonycentral.com and read the user reviews for your bass and see if anyone has swapped out pups there. Probably will be other info of use in the reading as well.
