Pot configuration Between 250k Vol and Tone VS 500k Vol and Tone ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hard to put a concise question in the title but here it is:

In my passive P bass I have 500k vol and tone pots. Orange drop cap.

If I was to change one of the pots to 250k to get somewhere between the two, should it be the vol or tone pot?

Of would it not make much of a difference?

Want to take a little brightness off.

Thanks

try turning your tone pot down a little.

Put in a 250k tone pot and that took that little bit of extra highs off.

Don't know why I just didn't try that before posting.

Sick of soldering and inhaling solder fumes.

Anyway, all done.
