I have a p-bass that I'm modding for a Jazz pup by the bridge. I have most of eveything I need, except the pots. I hear 500k has a brighter tone, and 250k is warmer, but my question is that does this count if I use them as volume knobs? I was thinking about using a 250k for the P volume and a 500k for the J volume, but I'm unsure if this would do anything to the individual sound, or if it would just mess with everything altogether. Any help would be nice
