pot replacement and active eq help please!

Hi guys, quick question.

I have a fender mim deluxe jazz and because of several mods I'd made have had to bury the active volume control down in the cavity. Fender's website states that this is a 25k pot soldered onto the eq circuit board. Because this takes up a lot of room would it be possible to buy a mini 25k pot or trim pot like this http://www1.conrad-uk.com/scripts/wg...ies=1&cookie_n[1]=uk_insert&cookie_v[1]=8V&cookie_d[1]=&cookie_p[1]=/&cookie_e[1]=Sun,+20-Jun-2010+23:19:31+GMT&scrwidth=1600

and replace the large CTS pot with this one to save a lot of space or would this not work? The CTS pot is taped and sunk down on full volume all the time, just incase that matters.

Please help TB gurus!

This thread explains what I've done to the preamp so far modding fender deluxe preamp help?

Should be possible. However you dont use volume control. Lots of peeps dont, Id say leave it as is. Unless you need that room for something else.

Atm the control takes up a lot of cavity space near the neck pickup and I'd like to make more room so I can add a precision pickup.

I just want to be sure that replacing with a mini pot of the same value resistance will work.
