pot replacement on yamaha EQ

Hi folks, Im seriously considering swapping my yamaha bb605's mid eq boost/cut pot. The thing is atm it is a normal volume style pot with no centre dent which makes it really hard to find a nice tone without it being knocked or even just a neautral point so i use the mid on/off switch to turn it off almost 100% of the time which i think is a pity considering the 3band eq would be far more usuable than a the 2 bands i use.

my question is, is it ok to simply switch the "standard" pot for a centre dented pot, just unsolder the current pot and replace with the new pot? this wont change the EQ or wiring will it?

also where can i get such a centre pointed pot?

It's fine providing it's the same value and curve. And of course that it fits on the PCB.

Thanks mate, im gonna tyr it, my other option was to buy a whole new preamp but i think pot swaping is probably cheaper for now. cheers
