Pot upgrade

I want to get ride of the scratchy pots on my squier jazz. I figured while I'm replacing them, I could try a series/parallel mod. This would be my first bass mod, but I'm pretty techy - I can solder and it seems like fun. I've seen the threads on series/parallel, and it looks pretty straightforward.

Where do I get some better pots, including a push/pull for one of the volume knobs? And will I need extra wire for this? if so, what sort?

Any stranded copper wire would work, I prefer 22 gauge. Easier to strip. And yes, you'll need more wire.

All of your electronic parts can be found at numerous places:
www.basspartsresource.com
www.has-sound.com
etc.

I got 3 25 foot rolls of 22 gauge stranded wire from Radio Shack for $6. The colors are black, red green.

That's enough wire for about 5 lifetimes.......
