Potentiometer value

I have a preamp system that has a bass and treble control. The pots have a 50k value. I would like to combine them into a dual concentric pot, but it has a value of 100k. What will be the outcome of this? Thanks Myke

doubling the resistance will make the output louder and brighter. 50k concentric pots aren't too difficult to find though:

Depending on the design of the preamp, it could change the frequency of the bass and treble controls. (I think)
