Which pots for a '51 reissue p bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Well i've finally got round to replacing my pickup in my '51 p bass. After taking it apart for the first time I've noticed that the previous owner had been messing around with the electronics. Firstly the tone knob was always pretty loose, well I just found out that it was glued in so I had to break it out of the pot, secondly the tone pot wasn't even wired up at all. With replacing the stock pickup with a SD SCPB-3 I thought i might as well upgrade the posts, any suggestions?

The direct replacements would be 250k ones - CTS are considered to be the best by most people.

I have a gold Warmoth bass and I use 500k pots with a paper-in-oil cap as they suit my particular type of sound.

I've since removed the fretless neck and put the wenge/ebony one back on.
