Sign in to disble this ad
Hopefully Dave or SGD is around here somewhere to bail me out.

I have a set of Aggie 4J-60 pups I bought here on TB. Im also running a preamp, active setup. What pot value to I need for Volume pot and Blend pot? 250k? Linear or Audio?

Thanks in advance!

Mark

Are you running the volume before the preamp?

If so, I'd use 250k. For a blend I like 500k, but 250k would be fine. For a master volume use an audio taper. The blend should be M/N taper. The Bourns blend pots are very nice, and cheap too.

This pre will be prewired so Im not totally sure if the volume is before or after the pre. I just want to make sure the pots are correct prior to installing. I'll report back once I have it in hand.

Also, I went to the Bourns website and type in "Bourns blend pots m/n"... there is a TON of useful information there. Thanks SGD!!
