Pre-amp options for mag/piezo pups?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys
I have an Ibanez EDA905 Fretless with a magnetic pickup and a piezo pickup. I'm wanting to change out the pre-amp so I can have a master volume, blend, and three band EQ. I was considering the Aguilar OPB-3 with push pull mids and a stacked bass/treble eq and then setting up two other knobs as master volume and blend. Can this be done? Currently it is wired for vol/vol/magnetic eq/ piezo eq (these eq's are just treble boost/cut, like a tone knob).

so yeah, if you guys could tell me if this will work or not, or if there are any other preamps I should consider that would be great

Yes that will work, and most other popular preamp designs will work just as well. I don't see anything in what you're describing that's out of the ordinary. Have you tried Audere? They're not my personal choice, but they will customize the pre and its knobs to your exact needs.
