Hello, all. I currently own an MTD ZX 5-string bass with proprietary Bartolini pre-amp and pickups. It's absolutely killer. Well, the other day I acquired a 5-string MTD Artist bass (awesome deal) equipped with a single Music Man-style pickup and a two-knob configuration (volume and tone). I would like to install a new pickup and pre-amp. My question is what do you guys recommend? I was thinking about a Nordstrand MM 5.2 and a Demeter Pre-amp, but I'm not sure. I just starting to learn about electronics. The bass will used with all styles of music, so diversity is very important. Also, cost isn't a concern. Thanks! |
