Pre amp and pickup Suggestions? Fender jazz mim 5 string

Needing/wanting to add preamp to my fender jazz mim 5 string. Any suggestions? I am also torn on changing the pickup...any thoughts?

I put a set of Loller's in my jazz. They sound amazing. Very vintage with a lot of output. They are single-coil, so they can still hum.
