Preamp for bass with magnet & piezo pups

Hey everybody. I have a Carvin bass that I really love, but I can't stand the EQ on the preamp. I would really like to get a new preamp, but I don't know of any aftermarket ones that do what I need.

The bass has a pair of magnetic pickups, both humbuckers.. the neck is stacked and the bridge is mm style. The bridge has piezos in it.

The preamp has a 3 band eq and an Active/Passive volume switch, and there's a blend between the neck and bridge pickups, a blend between the magnetic pups and the piezos, and a split coil toggle for the mm humbucker.

From the specs I've seen and the reviews I've heard, it seems that the Aguilar OBP-3 is exactly what I'm looking for, but I don't know anything about electronics.. so I don't know if I could make it work for what I need. Is all I need one of those piezo buffers I've read about, is there a more complex solution? Or do I need another preamp altogether? Or is what I am asking impossible? hahahah

IMHO if you have another preamp for the piezos (in the control cavity; carvins have very tidy and roomy ones) you are much better off. It will give you total control over the situation (unless you want to have total control of every possible variable every single moment)
