Arrow ?pups for my warwick corvette standard?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have only been playing bass for about 6 months so i don't know anything about the difference in pickups. That being said, I want to tweak out my warwick corvette. It is the passive model and has mec dynamic correction pickups in it now. My band is an early 90's grunge cover band. Any suggestions on what pick ups would work best for me? and do I need to get a pre amp if i switch?

Most people use Barts or EMG's in Warwicks. Me I fitted Alembics.

I personally liked the way that the passive Corvette sounds. The only reaon I put new pups in the Thumb was because it crapped out twice on me (in front of a thousand people).
