Replacing EMG's... is this possible?

Can i replace to EMG HB's with a J + a P pickup.... without it looking a total mess..

Or are there any p/j pickups which well... are the humbucker shape...

Im after a different sound... the only option maybe would be to change the preamp...

Any suggestions??

Although it said the EMG HB... is actually a precision style pickup.... how different would it be to well the EMG 35P4....

Also how different would an emg P pickup sound to like another make P pickup?

Depends which humbucker, DC/TW/CS etc?
Here is an old thread with dead links but plenty of impressions which should help you a bit.

EMG DC, CS, P5 comparison soundclips

Awesome thanks!

I dont suppose you know which pickup is like the identical version of the EMG HB?

it said on the website

The HB has been replaced with the 35 Extended Series Bass Pickups as a production equivalent.

But doesnt actually say which one...

It's the same pickup.

EMG Ps have the two coils wired in parallel, so they are not as thick sounding as a stock P.

Just to add to the conversation.
Nordstrand put their NJ (jazz) pickups in EMG covers for me. It was really cool how they customized it for me. It looks like they could fit a P pickup in that Emg cover too. Just call them.
The guys are right there to answer the phone.

You can't fit either of those in a guitar humbucker (HB) size cover.
