Replacing Ibanez ADX5/Vari-Mid III EQ?!

I have an Ibanez SR1015 with ADX5 pups w/ vari mid eq and I want to change both the pups and the preamp. I do not like the electronics...Does anyone have any experience changing the vari mid eq?

I want to go with Bartolini MK5 (USA) and a new preamp..it's a 4 knob set up. 1. Vol 2. Blend 3.Treble boost/Bass boost(stacked) 4. Mid boost/Mid frequency (stacked)...

What preamp would work best with this format?! Open to suggestions as well...

I'd look into an Audere preamp and whichever pickups you want. The Audere is MUCH quieter and a much wider eq range. I recently swapped a bad Bartolini 4.5 for an Audere Classic 4-band (you may prefer ones of their other preamps), and couldn't be happier. They're about the same price, but I like the Audere much better than I ever did the Bart.
