Rickenbacker 4004 pickup positions

i want to build a bass guitar with the rickenbacker bass scale i believe it's 33 1/2 inches and the hb1 ric boutique pickups in the 4004 positions. i believe the neck pickup is right next to the end of the fretboard (some say where the 24 th fret would be? when the say 24th fret they mean that the poles should be where the fret would be?). I have no idea where the bridge pickup should go... can anybody measure the distance between the point the nut meets the fretboard and the poles of the bridge pickup? Or explain to me how to find the position?

The bridge pickup centerline should be 4" to 5" from the bridge. The neck pickup 8" to 9" for a 34" scale bass.

Or the neck pickup should be about where a 24th fret would be which is the same harmonic as the 5th fret. The bridge pickup should be at the same harmonic as the 2 1/2 fret harmonic.

I really like the tone produced by basses with pickups in those locations.

I have 2 4004 basses. The neck pickup is jammed up against the end of the neck and the bridge pickup is 4 1/4" from the bridge.
