Rickenbacker Pickups

Hey guys,

Really loving the website. Pretty new but alot of great information on here.

I'm pretty new to the whole electronics situation, so I'm going to ask for some advice - does anybody have any suggestion for electronics/pickups for the Rickenbacker 4003? I'm aiming for a hard rock, metal (all genres) sound but with the option to explore other genres obviously.

The stock pickups are the best and most versatile, especially if you have the newer version of high gains with adjustible pole pieces.

the newer pickups are 12k and the older high gain 11k, the really old pre 90s are 7.8k. there a big diffrence with the two newer pickups and they the ones to go for.
get that Lemmy (Motorhead) type heavy sound!
