seymour duncan basslines ground wire?

Does anyone know which write is the ground in a Seymour duncan stk-j1?

Here is the original wiring instruction ...

Green is "ground to coil", bare is "Ground to shielding" ...

Thanks bud.
The reason I ask is that I've fitted a j-retro and since doing so my pick ups have been buzzing when I touch the poles. I figure they need grounding. So of I connect the bare wire to the shielding the problem should go. Yes?

Yes.

If there is a bare wire, it ALWAYS HAS to be soldered to GROUND.

The bare wire on a "5 conductor cable" never "influences the coils".
If you had an out-of-phase problem when both PUs are on, you would have to change the black and green wire, but bare would always have to be connected to ground.

Thanks man. That's just what I needed to hear
