Seymour Duncan SJB-2 and SJB-3

Hey everyone, I have been thinking about upgrading my jazz pickups.

What do you think about putting the SJB-3 in the neck and the SJB-2 in the bridge??

Ya go for it ...

My thought was the SJB-3 in the neck for more low end and less mids....with the SJB-2 in the bridge for more pronounced mids and growl.

Has anyone ever tried this combo or know of someone who has??
I'm just curious to know if it would sound the way I think it would.

i'd stick with matched sets, if nothing else they'd hum-cancel better when both on.

also, any pickup set will naturally have "more lows" in the neck and "pronounced mids" in the bridge, due to their locations. if anything, you'd want to tweak pickup response to "counterbalance" those tendencies, looking for a tighter, cleaner neck pickup and a deeper, bassier bridge, so that the results were more "even" and balanced better.

what the heck though, duncan gives you something like 30 days to try a pickup then exchange it if you don't like the sound.
