| Soapbar recomendations for fretless?

Hello, all. I am currently in need of a decent set of pups for a fretless that I am having built from scratch. They have to be soapbar, and passive. They should respond well to a mahogany and maple body, a maple neck, and tulip (maple?) fretboard. If that makes any difference.
Tone-wise I need as much as I can get. Preferably as clear and natural as possible. Crisp, yet bassy. Just the best darn pieces of copper you can think of.
As many suggestions as you can please, I'd like to compare the pickups myself. The only reason I ask is because some people up here in talkbass world have their knowledge keyed in to the tee.
Help me talkbass patrons, you're probably my best hope. |
