static and cutting out
 

Hey there,

Not sure if I should post this here or in set up and repair but. A while back I picked up an ESP TA-200 used for a steal of a price. I haven't really used it too much yet but noticed a crackling sound as I turn the knobs and the sound occasionally cuts out on me. At first I thought it was my patch cord but it checks out fine with my other guitars.

Could this be dirty Pots? or a wiring issue? or ??? also, what would it cost to have something like this repaired?
