Stock pups in an '87 Ibanez RD707?

Anybody know for sure who made these? It's the Hi-Z P/J combo with adjustable poles. I'm thinking I was told, back in the day, DiMarzio made all of Ibanez's pickups in the age of hairspray.

Thanks!

Here's a page from an old Ibanez brochure that has my exact bass on it (the reddish/pinkish one ), and even has a close-up of the pickups I'm asking about.

BTW, they are passive with ceramic magnets, and copper shielding plates attached to the bottom by a short ground wire. The Jazz pickup is a true single-coil... They seem to have a very high output, but the tone is lacking. I've tried them in a few gigging and recording situations, and they do "okay" at best, but I believe this bass has more potential than I've heard so far.

I use the P solo'd almost 100% of the time, and while it does resemble that P sound, I wish it had tighter lows like I've grown used to from my StingRay and Tobias. Perhaps this question belongs in a different thread, but does anybody have any suggestions of a P pickup that sounds like a Precision with tight, focused bottom end? I'd like to stay passive if possible. Thanks!
