Can a stock SR5 pup be wired to be split/coil tapped the same way as on any of the HH model Stingrays?

??

the stock 5-string pickup already is wired that way.

the 3-way switch gives you parallel (the "normal" 'ray tone), single (with a dummy coil kicked in for hum-canceling), and series (darker and louder).

I knew that was how it is wired, but I thought it was different with the HH. I thought the HH models were wired to either use all coils of the pickup, the outer coil, or the inner coil, thus giving you two different single coil options for different blends of the pickups. Or is that the case only with the Sterling HH as outlined in Ed Friedland's review?
