| Strange Buzzing

I recently (mostly successfully, after a few difficulties) installed some new Dimarzio Model J pickups in my Fender MIM Jazz. It sounds great, but I've encountered a few problems, most of which I've fixed.
My current problem is this: If my amp is on with my bass plugged in and I'm not touching the bass, it starts making this weird buzzing noise that gets progressively louder. This continues to get louder until I either turn off the amp or touch the strings. It's sometimes difficult to recreate the problem, as it only seems to happen with certain tone settings.
Since they're new, I assume the problem is with the pickups (or more accurately, my poor wiring of the pickups). Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this? |
