Strange Issue With Pots

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, just had my stingray back from a good clean up and set up, although, now my bass is back there is something strange going on with the knobs. As you will know if you own a stingray, there is a notch after you trun the knob half way round. All of the knobs were fine before the bass went but now only one of them doesnt have a problem, one doesnt have any notch watsoever, one clicks like metal hitting metal. I know its not a big deal just want to know whats happened, any thoughts ?

It's just not right. There's probably no affect on your sound, but the Ray's pots do have a strong centre detent by design. Take it back to where you had it set up and tell them that you are not happy about the change they made to the controls. It should be put back to standard Stingray specs.
