| strange static from preamp? help

07 ibanez SR700 with bart mk1's and mk1 pre, after about an hour of playing it gets a weird static that gets gradually louder. it's not 60 cycle hum, it's like white noise, it's not picking up radio stations....yet lol
i've got it narrowed down to the preamp, i've changed batteries, doesnt matter what pickup is on, not the amp or cord.
i can't see any cold solders or anything touching anything else. my friend thinks its a capacitor getting charged up, anyway i can fix this without replacing the pre?
also suggestions for a new pre and new pickups? i like aggressive jazz basses
