The only way to stop your strings from hitting the pickup without lowering the strings is to play with a lighter touch on the right hand.

You could raise your strings...I hear electrical tape over the poles also works.

That or try strings with a higher tension.

You could use a lighter touch.

Wish more pickup companies just covered the magnetic poles with bakelite or something similar. But it does not look cool...

That does work.

I prefer colorless nail varnish. Not noticeable unless you look for it. Just put 2-3 coats and it lasts a while. Buy a fast setting type like Rimmel 60seconds. Easy.

Pickups are often adjustable

1-2 screws on each side? often these are spring loaded for height adjustments.

Yes, it is very possible to play fast and light. The professionals do it all the time. The more you pluck parallel to the fretboard, the less chance you have of the string hitting the pickup.

How about:

To string and magnet

And the sound is dirty bumped

Is there another way?

Clearly English is not his native tongue.

I read about people using nail polish, epoxy, etc., so it's no longer metal to metal contact.

So many options.....
Are the pickups too high? Personal preference is one thing, but there's also a reasonable distance.
If the pickups are at an appropriate distance, then I suggest looking at your finger technique. Ease up and/or pluck the strings elsewhere.
Lot's of things you can do.

Electrical tape or nail polish both work great.. Although you don't have to worry about the nail polish rubbing off with time as opposed to electrical tape..

Playing with a lighter touch actually facilitates faster speed and better endurance.

Whilst playing slap-pop, it's rather difficult to play with a light touch unless you play with a follow through motion with your thumb.. So proper technique or change in technique is probably a good idea if all else fails..

Also - Be careful not to bring the pickups too far away from the strings.. The farther away the pickups are from the strings, the weaker the signal.
