| String Winding Up on Piezo Saddle; Problem?

I recently bought a bass that has a piezo pickup in the bridge. This is the first bass I have had that has piezos, so I'm a complete noob.
I put D'Addario Chromes on, and the blue string winding goes over the saddle on 2 of the strings. I'm still getting a signal to the amp. It sounds fine.
Is there a potential problem with the metal part of the string not contacting the piezo? Should I leave it alone, or should I trim the winding? |
