Suggestions for MIA Jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
Recently picked up a used MIA Jazz that has the Noiseless pickups. They sound very dead to me, compared to the stock ones I have in another MIA Jazz. Worth it to have a tech check them out, or is this just the nature of the beast? If so, what recomendations for replacements ? I think I would like to replace them with the regular stock pickups Fender uses, but did'nt see them on their website, other than the " classic " models.

nature of the beast. if you want noiseless, check out the dimarzio area or ultra jazz. if not, "real" jazz bass pickups will bring the life back.

Yes. Who sells "real" Jazz pickups? Fender seems to offer evrything but stock Fender Jazz pickups. What are the basic differences between the Ultra, Area and J dimarzios?

by "real" i mean single coil. everybody sells them, and you'll find mountains of threads here about who likes what.
