Suggestions for my custom...

Iight, to start a lil backround.....

Ive been an avid users of EMG pups for about 6 years now for most my basses ( only broken up by a Lindy Fralin P and a SD AII jazz )

Im currently having my first customer built, and am just so damn undecided on the pups!! So i decided to put it out there and get some suggestions!

Specs first off
Wide neck 5 string Single cut, deep cuttaway
Wenge/maple/cocobolo/maple/wenge neck
Rosewoodtop, bubinga body, rosewood back

My main idea behind this bass is jazz/touch style playing, so clarity, but full range is a big deal to me. Im really trying to break my habbit of playing witha heavy hand, but its there, so im trying to stay away from open pole peices to much ( to much metal in my day : / )

So far the pups ive really been looking at:

1. Delano Xtender series, 5 string "P" style quadcoils / quadcoil "Soap bar"

Ive herd nothing but good things, and i LOVE the shape!

2. Q turners
clarity clarity clarity!! But someone freaked out by *to* much high end, expecialy with my heavy playing style : /

3. Good ole EMGs. "P" voiced soapbar from, MM rear

Not 100% sure on pre amp yet, but most likley an EMG 2 band system with a bypass

so guys.......theres my dilemma, any help would be awesome!!
