Swapping out P/J pups

I like the fullness of the lows and the punch of the SPB-3, with flats it can be very clear and focused. I could probably be convinced to leave it in, but I would like to hear more in the mids and less of the clanky highs. So my tone is usually backed off half way.

I hardly use the SJB-3 at the bridge, unless its in series with the P to add some punch.

I'm planing to go with a DiMarzio Model J (coils in series), for it's darker tone, at the bridge. But rather than match it up with a DM model P, which I have used before, I'm thinking of trying the SPB-2 (hot for P bass).

Please share your opinions...

Will the SPB-2 give me more mids, compared to the SPB-3?
Will the Dm have a fatter sound than the SD 1/4 lb. J, and play well together with the SPB-2?
