I got a set of Bartolini J's on CL for $65. Put them in the Marcus Miller the other night. Whoa! These are incredible! My tone is stronger, cleaner and more eq'-able. They make ZERO noise or hiss, no matter if I turn one pickup all the way up, and the other all the way down or anything in between.
I also have a fretless Jazz with Nordstrand humcancelling J's, and I'm surprised to say, I think I like the Barts better.
I guess the Marcus must sound a bit more like a Lakland now. |
