Switching from EMG-HZs

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm a n00b when it comes to replacing pickups and I'm thinking about switching out the EMG-HZs on my Schecter Stiletto Elite 4 with and EMG-HB at the neck and a EMG-35TW at the bridge. How might I go about doing this and what would it sound like?

FWIW:

numerous EMG threads had from a search including some recently and probably still on the front page.

Assuming you're getting the stuff from a distibutor and they fit your routes, you get the pups and the preamp or passive 25K harness, pull one and put the other in. Seems that Schec uses EMG type pots.

See FAQ Bass Mod link in the first paragraph of Dimento's Trouble Shooting guide for potential pitfalls. If you go the route above it should be pretty painless. The Schec I had you could park a Cadillac in the control bay. Nice bass I just don't like NT's.
