SX SPJ-62 3/4 3T jackplate replacement question

I want to replace this jackplate which is on the bottom edge of the body instead of in the J-bass style control plate or P-bass pickguard location on most SX basses.
Any done this and can suggest a suitable replacement?

Which do you want to do? Are you saying you want to simply replace the jack plate or are you wanting to relocate it to the top of the body?

If you're simply replacing the body edge-mounted jack plate, there are a lot of places online that offer aftermarket parts. One other thing you could try is to ask Kurt if he has one "laying" around.

By the way, what is your reasoning for replacement?
Damaged? Rusty? Are you sure it even needs replacing?

Been using a Monster cable with a straight jack and the jackplate bent and ripped one screw out. It is not very strong metal - one place that sx had to cut corners to offer their basses at that price point.
What do you recommend as a suitable after-market jackplate?
