Symptoms of a Dying Battery???

hey all,

so when your onboard preamp's battery is going, what's it sound like? dont think i really know this question myself, but was wondering.

Output drops and continues dropping as juice in the battery dwindles to nothing, and distortion gradually takes over the sound as well.

Distortion in the signal is usually the first symptom.
