Question t-bird total rewire/configuration

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a goth t-bird that I am totally "making my own". The main thing that I do not like is the vol/vol/tone config. I want to have blend/tone/vol. I am have trouble finding a diagram for the exact set up I want. I am going to wire the neck with a .68 and have the bridge open a more punchy (as far as T-birds go) tone, and for heavy distortion. I have looked every where and cannot find anything.
Just for a little background info, I have been doing open mics playing my bass like a guitar with heavy distortion. I still want to be able to play it like it is meant to be played with my band, and in general.
Any ideas on the wiring as far as the cap only working on the neck p/u? I have never wired a blend, could put the cap on that vs the tone pot?

Hi euronymous.

There's some blend pot-related diagrams here: push/pull pot with blend pot
