Taking the Audere plunge

I ordered an Audere JZ3D-VB-3B-T (3 band with "passive" tone control) for my Mike Lull M5V today. It's replacing an Aguilar OBP-3. This bass has been one of my mainstays for the past two years and I was looking to add some flexibility to its sound. It should be here by the end of the week and so it looks like I have a pretty good weekend project ahead of me.

+1 Same here. I've been thinking about replacing my old Demeter Pre with Audere's 4 band so I'm curious how this new pre compares to your old one.

I can't compare because I don't have an Aguilar, but I can say that the Audere I have in my Geddy Lee JB makes me quite happy.

Following up. Did you ever get this and put it in? Review?

Went ahead and ordered an Audere for my Cote Jazz. I tried the J-retro a while back and was not too impressed. Should be here in a few days.

Talking Audere plunge

I can't compare, since I haven't had Aguilar's before.

However, I am, getting Audere 3 band w/Zmode in my new custom Ramirez bass. (Thanks, Wilser!)

Auderes are supposed to be the best out there.

Good luck, and let us know how it sounds!
