tell me about the Sadowsky inboard pre-amp?

Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for all input and guidance.

so, boy, did I do something I shouldn't have the other day. I spent about 90 minutes in the Sadowsky showroom.

I learned quite a few things.

The new Will Lee Signature model kicks maximum ass.

All Sadowsky NYC basses kick ass.

If I am going to have a Sadowsky, I should special order one.

The finances of owning a Sadowsky at this time do not add up.

Sooooo...here's what i was thinking.

Purchasing a Sadowsky inboard pre and installing it in my Mike Lull M4V (replacing the 2 band Aguilar pre that's in it now). The Lull has Fralins in it.

And here's my questions -

Is this a reasonable idea? Pros and cons?

Will the Sadowsky pre get along with the Fralins, or should I go all-in and install Sadowsky PUs as well?

Ultimately it is all your personal taste.
Try the outboard version with your bass passive and see if you like it

Did you ever put the Sadowsky preamp in the Lull? I have a M5 w/ custom Duncans and I'm thinking of going with the Sadowsky pre.

Sadowsky preamp

I had a Lakland JO5 with Fralin single coils and a Sadowsky inboard preamp and it sounded fantastic.
