Are there any alnico Soapbar pickups

Are there any alnico soapbar pickups out there? All I can find are ceramic ones. I'm looking for ones with no pole pieces. Thanks for any info.

All magnetic pickups have pole pieces. What you mean is that you want covered pole pieces.

There are more AlNiCo-based pickups in soapbar formats than I'd care to count. What shape and configuration did you want, and for what kind of tone? Picking pickups based solely on magnet material doesn't make very much sense.

I am talking about the covered pole pieces like emg or bartolini but most have ceramic ploe pieces. So there is no difference between ceramic and alnico or neo? Thanks.

The question would be...why exactly do you want alnico?

The pole pieces in ceramic-based pickups are not made of ceramic. Only the magnet bars that give them their magnetism. In the case of covered-pole ceramic pickups, the pole pieces are often steel blades.

There is quite a difference between ceramic, AlNiCo and Neodymium based magnets. Each has it's applications and tonality. What sort of tone are you looking for?

I would like a warm smooth-type tone. Thanks.

You can get that from ceramic, alnico, or neo. There's just a lot more to it than just the magnets in your pickups.
