Is there any difference between the two P pickups?

Are they both wound the same? The reason I ask is I have a pair of P pickups that have no wires attached, and I need to know which one gets wired to which. All the wiring diagrams I've seen (and other P pickups I've had) already had the wires attached.

Dumb question, I know...

Thanks,
Chris

Not a dumb question at all.

Of course, I can't answer it fully - but I can tell you that older, cheaper Fender P P'ups were the same - I can't speak for other manufacturers. I'll bet SOMEONE has made asymmetric pickups.

Thanks, I just wired them up and they're working fine!
