These Delano's in my Modulus Jazz?

Putting together a Jazz Bass with a Modulus neck. I really want to have an aggressive, in your face sound...sort of like a Modulus Flea except I don't want to be limited to one pickup. Now I know that I couldn't possibly get a Jazz to sound like a Flea, but I want it to at least have that same bite that a MM pickup gives.

I've had my eye on these delano pickups because they have those huge pole pieces...I haven't seen any other pickups like it. Would this be the closest that I could get?

It makes no specification of being active/passive especially and the wiring schematic is general and shows both as options.

As for covers... email them?

All Delano pickups are passive. And with such huge poles, it would be lame if they need a battery

I have a Clover Aperion with Delano pups, they are very accurate sounding, very "hifi" I would not describe them as aggressive - not at all. If you want aggressive go with Rio Grande Muy Grandes.

But the pups of Aiperon are quite different. Vintage single-coil, while the one he wants is a modern split-coil...

Hey Mental O

I'm in the process of doing the same thing and I'm currently put together almost the same deal but with the PJ version of these pickups.

So let me know how it goes.

(The ony bass gas I have is swapping pickups for 4 different basses)

One being a EBMM with a delano (Its the best sounding MM style pickup I have ever heard)

PM-ing you.
