Thinking about EMG BTC with my Kent Armstrong soaps

Has anyone used the EMG pre's with Kent Armstrong
soap bars?? I'm thinking about the BTC.

I have a bass with Kent armstrongs icm an Aguilar OBP3 preamp. This combination is very effective. I think EMG is too trembly.

I like the Aguilar preamps, but I already own an EMG BTC.
I can put the frequency of the highs at 7K or 4.5 to tame
the highs. Thanks for the input.
