Hi!
Been looking for some new pickups for my trb1006 but can`t decide between humbuckers or single coils.
Would be interested in any useful thoughts or opinions!
Will be using a "EMG 45" sized cases and the pickups will be wired through a Audere classic 4 band pre.
Cheers Thanks! |

What would be the difference in the rang of tone between the sidewinders and your neo humbuckers with a narrow apeture? |

If I was to mix the sidewinders and Neos what combination would you recommend? |

Or if you like a brighter neck and fatter bridge, then a neo at the bridge would work.
I have to say however, that the new narrow sidewinder bridge pickup (as used in the Jazz covers) are really punchy sounding. I did a recording session with them over the weekend.

Like the the idea of the narrow bridge pickup if I was to go with a pair of sidewinders which version of neck pickup would be the most suitable in your opinion?
Do you make the narrow bridge in a 6 string size? |

The Sidewinders in the Jazz covers are indeed a little different. They are narrower, have a thinner blade, and are wound with thinner wire. This was all to make them fit in the Jazz covers, and they do have a somewhat different tone.
I'm going to be offering these as "narrow aperture" Sidewinders. They have more mids and a very punchy tone.

Will they available in a 6 string format? | I'm going to have the store back open in a week or so, and they will be availble then. Yes, they come in six string soapbars, both EMG 45 and Bart P4 size.
