Thunderbird replacement pickups?

i hav this tbird bass that i like the feel and look of, and the tone is great too. But it has crazy feedback when i turn up the volume and the output is rather phathetic compared to my pbass too....

any suggestions on a replacement PU w high output? Btw ive heard that there're very options, really

well i have an epi t bird and its WAYYY louder than my fender P or jag (without active).

people knock them but epi pickups are actually quite good, maybe scour ebay for some?

im the kind who doesnt really care for people's opinions on gear as long as i dig it...

and i must the pickups sound pretty neat, but on my case it has feedback and doesnt sound as loud as the dimarzios on my P

Do you have a Gibson or an Epiphone?


And the only company that makes replica Thunderbird pickups is Bartolini.

yeah im like that too brandon, but T bird are PAINS in the arse to find pickups for (esp in the UK) luckilly my bird sounds they way i imagine a t bird (like John entwistle) esp with a bit of muff added to it hehe.

as tbirdbassist said barts are the only 'aftermarket' replacements available other than custom wound jobs.

Ive seen people put EMG 35's in their Tbirds, but once you do that, it doesn't sound like a Tbird...
