I'm in the market and I need someone to sell me on way or the other. Also, are either going to be a straight drop in (or close) on my 00's era Gibson Thunderbird?

I'll chime in. I have been playing vintage Thunderbirds almost exclusively since '77. For me Thunderbuckers really nail it. I have them in several of my basses. I'll be truthful I have not tried Lollars but I have tried just about everything else. My Cataldo siggy powered by a Thunderbucker MAX. Unmixed tease of our new release. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater
