Question Tinny Sound

Sign in to disble this ad
I am playing a new Peavy Cirrus 5 (5) string bass with ghs 45-130 medium strings and boss bass processor. I am finding that the after playing the bass for a little of time that the sound becomes very tinny and almost twangy. At first I thought it was the 2 9v batteries for the active pic-ups, but after changing the batteries multiple times with high output batteries, the bass is still sounding tinny or twangy? Any thoughts on the problem? Battery connectors or pick-ups?
