Is This Toaster a Rick or Aftermarket???

Was told today that the neck position toaster p/u I have is not a real Rickenbacker p/u Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. Thanks!

Definitely an aftermarket one.

Underneath the real ones there are 6 pole pieces. They are the same as the guitar ones except they mount to the pickguard rather than the body.

Tried to find pic but can't. try the rickresource to see what they look like.

I fitted my now long gone 4003BB with one of the real ones

Was part of a trade deal about 2 yrs ago. Never got around to installing before selling the Rick.
